Part 2. Tatyana Mickushina

In addressing this question, I rely on my own intuition. As far as I recall, “The Secret Doctrine” contains at least three statements regarding our position in the Zodiac (I am writing from memory):
– We still have enough time - at least 16,000 years remain until the critical point. This is encouraging.
– According to some scholars and representatives of Hinduism, the Stellar Year begins at 0 degrees of Aries. In that case, the cataclysm has already ended.
– The beginning of the Zodiacal Year is located at 6 degrees of Aquarius.
Here is a quotation supporting the latter statement:
“... The Brahmins also tell us that this first point, the beginning of their Zodiac, was in the year 3102 placed 54 degrees behind the equinox; from which it follows that the beginning - the first point of their Zodiac - was situated in the sixth degree of Aquarius.”
Quotation from: Helen Blavatsky, “The Secret Doctrine”, Vol. 1. Moscow: EKSMO, 2007, p. 852.
I understand that, given the immense scope of “The Secret Doctrine”, it is extremely difficult to arrive at a definitive conclusion as to where exactly we are within the Zodiacal cycle.
I have asked myself this question many times and repeatedly reread the pages related to this subject.
My conclusion is purely intuitive and
based solely on the text of “The Secret Doctrine” by Helen Blavatsky: the
beginning of the Sidereal Year is located at 6 degrees of Aquarius.
The next question is: have we entered the constellation of Aquarius, and if
so, when?
Since I do not have formal training in astronomy or astrology, I decided to consult specialists. At that time, I was living in the city of Omsk, and upon recommendation, I attended a meeting with the best astrologer in Omsk.

To my question, “Have we entered the constellation of Aquarius?”, the astrologer handed me a book and suggested that I read the specified pages.
After reading the book, I returned it, but I made excerpts from the pages indicated by the astrologer.
And then - the most unfortunate thing
happened - all my notes were destroyed in a fire at my house near Omsk.
After so many years, I can no longer recall the title or the author of the book. It was not a Russian author - perhaps an American or an Englishman.
With such “precise” information, one
might choose not to mention this book at all. However, I clearly remember the
most important part. On many pages (about 20), the names of astrologers and
their predictions regarding humanity’s entry into the constellation of Aquarius
were cited. There were dozens of such forecasts (around 50). The dates varied
widely - from the Middle Ages to the distant future, around the year 3000 CE.
In any case, the proposed dates and years differed by hundreds of years.
That was the astrologer’s answer to my question.
When we parted, the astrologer gave me the contact information of the city’s leading astronomer. I arranged a meeting and went to the Omsk Pedagogical Institute (now Omsk State Pedagogical University). To my question, “Have we entered the constellation of Aquarius?”, the astronomer led me to the planetarium.
There we approached a computer displaying a map of the starry sky. The astronomer showed me the position of the vernal equinox point on the celestial sphere and its movement over thousands of years.
It looked approximately as shown in the illustration.

“Do you see the conditional boundary
between the constellation of Pisces and the constellation of Aquarius?” he
asked
(this boundary is not shown in the illustration, as the image was made using
different software and settings).
“Now let us observe how the point of the vernal equinox moves in relation to these two constellations.”
What followed was yet another disappointment. The point of the vernal equinox has been moving along the boundary between the constellations of Pisces and Aquarius for more than a thousand years! And even now, according to astronomers, we have not yet entered the constellation of Aquarius. We are expected to do so only around the year 2600.
Is it possible to calculate the end or beginning of the Sidereal Year?
Let us turn to the figures provided in “The Secret Doctrine.”
“... the Hindus maintain that in the year 20,400 before Kali Yuga, the beginning of their Zodiac coincided with the vernal equinox...”
“It is stated that the Kali Yuga cycle began between the 17th and 18th of February in the year 3102 B.C.”
Quotations from: Helen Blavatsky, “The Secret Doctrine”, Vol. 2. Moscow: EKSMO, 2007, p. 504.
Let us add these figures:
20,400 (years before the beginning of Kali Yuga)
● 3,102 (the year Kali Yuga began)
●
2,026 (the current year)
= 25,528 years since the beginning of the last Sidereal cycle.
If we compare this number with the duration of the Sidereal Year according to Helen Blavatsky (25,868 years):
25,868 – 25,528 = 340 years
According to this calculation, in 340 years a new Cosmic cycle will begin, lasting approximately 25,868 years, as stated in “The Secret Doctrine.”
This will occur in the year 2366
(2026 + 340 = 2366),
and it will take place at 6 degrees of Aquarius.
We know that the beginning of the Stellar Year is located at 6 degrees of Aquarius (see above).
How many Earth years correspond to 6 degrees of the Zodiacal cycle?
Let us take 25,868 years as the
basis for calculation
(although, as mentioned earlier, other sources cite figures ranging from 25,770
to 25,920).
25,868 ÷ 360 degrees = 71.86 Earth years per degree of the Stellar Year.
For simplicity, and taking into account possible variations from one Zodiacal cycle to another, we will use the rounded figure of 72 years per degree.
Accordingly,
6 degrees = 72 × 6 = 432 years (approximately).
If, based on the previous calculation, 6
degrees of Aquarius corresponds to the year 2366, then the beginning of
Aquarius occurred in 1934
(2366 – 432 = 1934).
Thus, through calculation based on data from “The Secret Doctrine”, it is possible to determine an approximate date for the beginning of the entry of the vernal equinox point into the constellation of Aquarius - the year 1934.

I have just carried out this calculation myself. I was very surprised by the result. It turns out that we have already been living in the so-called Age of Aquarius for more than 90 years.
How reliable is this calculation? Probably only to the same extent as the reliability of the figures taken from “The Secret Doctrine” by Helen Blavatsky.
